In a month and a half, we will be moving back to Atlanta, GA. The New York City chapter of our lives is drawing to a close.
It's bittersweet for sure. We love New York City. We've lived here 7 years. We did most of our transitioning from college into official adulthood here. We experienced a lot, from starting and building our careers to getting married. We've truly experienced both the good and the bad that this crazy city has to offer. Even when we've hated it, we've retained an deep love for it. NYC has become part of us, but the time has come for something new.
We both miss the south, especially Atlanta. That is where the majority of our friends and family are and we miss them terribly.
Luckily, a lot of things are falling into place. One very important thing is that I will be keeping my job in New York City and working remotely. That was a blessing that I am incredibly thankful for.
We have a whole lot to do in a really short timeframe. Next week, we'll be heading down to Atlanta to find a place to live and from that point on, I'm sure that life will be in fast forward motion till we are settled into our new place.
I'm excited for this new chapter to begin.
Life is good.

How exciting! Good luck! It was bittersweet for me too after I moved away... but NYC always stays with ya...!. What an exciting adventure for y'all!

It's very exciting, but very bittersweet. I love New York and will always love it, but the time has come to head back to the south. ;)
