September 2-9, 2002: Montana and the Wild West

Back in September of 2002, Jesse and I decided to go and visit my friend Josh, who had recently moved from Columbia, South Carolina to Bozeman, Montana.

I wish I'd taken more (and better) photos and actually made notes of what all we did while we were out there for a week, but alas, I did not, and therefore these are pretty much the only photos I have from the trip.

Some specific things that we did included:
* Visiting ghost towns. SEVERAL. And it was awesome. Some of them sucked because they're more "historical sites" rather than actual ghost towns, but they were still all really cool. I think my favorite was Elkhorn, Montana.
* Yellowstone National Park. Simply amazing. I could spend days here. I fully intend to make a trip back there one day with Jesse.
* The Lewis & Clark Caverns. So fun! I love climbing around and it was such an adventure to get to go down there and explore after the short hike it took to get up there.

It was such a great trip. We really need to get back there again some day soon.

Now for the few photos I have from the trip. I'm going to start it off with by far the best photo, which I stole from Jesse...

Crazy clouds.
More beautiful Montana.

More beautiful mountains.

**Obviously this is a back dated post since I wasn't travel blogging circa 2002, but figured this was worth posting anyhow.**
